LIE OF THE WEEK: 03-07-2008
Senator Hillary Clinton on her victories in Ohio and Texas Democratic primaries:
"We're going on, we're going strong, and we're going all the way. Ohio has written a new chapter in the history of this campaign and we're just getting started."
THE TRUTH: Senator Clinton's very slight majorities in her primary victories on Tuesday gave her a tiny lead in the delegates awarded that night and eliminated her chance of catching up in the overall delegate count. The only thing getting started that night was the beginning of the end of her campaign. Despite using every underhanded tactic to try to sway the process in her favor, she has absolutely no chance of catching up, but it's doubtful that she will ever be honorable enough to bow out of the election and let the choice of the American people represent them in the fall election against the Republican nominee.
